Photo diary August 2024

I don’t know how to describe August. It was fast and slow, quiet and hectic, all at once. My work was varied; I launched a new project and had many photo opportunities for my own work.

August 1st was already a great start. I launched my new project, Slices of Time, a street photography podcast. The first two episodes are online already!

During the month, I also prepared the episodes with Simon Ogden (which will be released on September 19th) and Victor Shohet (which will be released on October 10th).

So make sure to follow the podcast on platforms like Spotify!

Of course, I also had to do some things to grow the bank account. Like doing some portrait shoots in Ghent and Antwerp, making headshots, photographing on a beet field, then at an event in Ghent, photographing in a lab, and last but not least, all day at an accountant firm for headshots and marketing photos.

Next, I also needed to work from home—editing all the photos, of course. I also did some work in Google Adwords (not my favorite), wrote a quote for a photobook I’m collaborating on (I hope to share more soon), contacted Instagram to get an impersonator account down, and created a content scheme for upcoming blog posts (on my professional website).

It’s a good thing there was plenty to relax with as well. I did plenty of street photography. I visited my first-ever pride parade, had drinks with friends, participated in a quiz (placed 3rd out of 37), had fun at the Bollekesfeesten, and ended the month with a hike all along the Belgian coast (about 77km).

Some firsts and exciting media of March 2024
