New year, same old me. In 2025, I will continue this monthly photo diary thing. So, let’s start with January of 2025—an eventful month.
Of course, the year started this month, too. So, after celebrating New Year’s, I woke up on a friend’s couch. I also spent time with friends, listening to their kids read their New Year letters: a Flemish tradition of kids reading a rhyming best wishes to their families.
Apart from that, I also celebrated my niece’s birthday, turning two, and my friend Jan-Bart, turning about 16 times that.
Ofcourse, there was also some working this year. Easy admin, like updating my email templates and improving my social accounts. Speaking of social accounts. This month, I quit Twitter after 14 years on the platform.
It was sad to go after all this time. Especially since I met most of my (best)friends there. But the platform turned to shit in the recent years. Also, a week later, the CEO made his infamous arm movement, further cementing my decision. So now I’m happily on Bluesky.
I’m still considering the use of Instagram and Threads. Do you have any thoughts on those?
I also had some time roaming the streets again, mainly in Antwerp and a bit in Namur and Brussels. Namur was a day off for fun, while Brussels I visited for a Samsung S25 launch event.
And some work had to be done, too, ofcourse. Shooting portraits and event reports for various clients.
