Photo diary July 2024

July is the first month of summer, my birthday month, and a month that feels like it is over too soon. However, while looking back on it, I also noticed that it was a month when I did and experienced plenty.

It started with my birthday this month—turning 32—not a significant age, in my opinion. I also had to do some work, even when the summer months are usually a bit slower. I often spend this time strategizing my business for the rest of the year and just (trying to) relax, of course.

But I still did photograph some events:

Apart from work, there was a lot happening. Unfortunately, I also had to attend the funeral of my grandma. However, in a way, it was also nice to celebrate her life.

Other than that, I was busy starting my new podcast on street photography, which you will discover more about on this blog and my socials soon!

Of course, I couldn’t miss doing street photography this month. On one of the photo walks, I also had the chance to pass by the pop-up shop Oldcam shop; I even managed to get my photo of their store on their Instagram:

I also bought a new smartphone (a Samsung S24 Plus). All the settings are still a hassle, but I like the camera a lot already.
